About Me:
Born and raised in Burnaby BC, I grew up in a household which encouraged a healthy lifestyle. I enjoyed playing soccer and field hockey throughout my childhood, and continue to play in a Ladies Field Hockey League. I relocated to Victoria in 2011 for my university education at UVic. I started out in the Biology program, but quickly discovered Kinesiology was a better fit for me, as I am fascinated by the human body and enjoy helping others. I graduated in Spring 2018 and am looking to get my feet wet in the realm of public health and exercise!
Employment:
I've been able to put my knowledge to the test through a number of employment opportunities, including:
-
Project Coordinator/Research Assistant at the Behavioural Medicine Lab/University of Victoria;
-
Rehabilitation Coordinator at Shelbourne Physical Therapy at Gordon Head Recreation Centre;
-
Medical Office Assistant at the Cook Street Village Medical Clinic
